Image on Smart Board Flashing or not displaying - Windows P key

If you connect your laptop to a docking station and the screen is black or you just see the taskbar on the bottom of the windows.  Your screen may be displaying on the projector or in extended mode.  Turn on the projector.  Log into your computer and press the Windows + P keys on your keyboard.  A screen will display for you to choose Duplicate. 

If your screen is not fitting the screen properly OR the projection on the smart board is flashing, right click a blank spot on the desktop.  Choose display settings from the drop-down menu.  Scroll down until you see Display resolution.  Click on drop down menu and choose a different resolution:  try 1440 x 900.   1280 x 1024   or any resolution in the menu to see which one works best for you. 

Once you find the correct resolution, choose keep changes.
